Galaxy Tab S6 gets OneUi 3.1 two months ahead of schedule

Samsung has started releasing OneUI 3.1 for the Galaxy Tab S6 lineup, although for now it's limited to the Galaxy Tab S6 LTE (SM-T865). The update is about 2,2GB, includes the March 2021 security patch, and Galaxy Tab S6 LTE owners in Germany can identify it by its firmware version T865XXU4CUB7.

Samsung has skipped the OneUI 3.0 update for the Galaxy Tab S6, so the last OneUI update for Samsung's high-end tablets is now OneUI 3.1 and that's super positive for the brand's tablet users, who sometimes seem to be overlooked by the manufacturer.

The Samsung keyboard has been enhanced with support for more languages, and the Galaxy Tab S6 can now take advantage of auto-switch functionality when using the tablet together with the Galaxy Buds Pro.

Galaxy Tab S6 LTE users can check if the latest firmware update is now available by going to the tablet's settings and then software update, if available, simply select "download" and follow the installation steps. But you can wait a while and in a few days or a few weeks, you will receive the automatic notification of the update's arrival.

As for the rest of the lineup, the Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab S6 should also get the update soon. Likewise, given that Samsung released the One UI 3.1 update a few months earlier than the initial schedule, there is a chance that the company will also include the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in the firmware update list too early on. Both the Galaxy Tab S6 and S6 Lite models were originally planned to receive the One UI 3.1 update in May.
