Logitech G has released support for a new app that allows you to customize audio while gaming, delivering a more immersive experience.
The software should allow you to hear game sounds like large-scale battles, nearby footsteps, or racing sounds on a racetrack more clearly.
The new software is called Immerse and was developed by Embody, a spatial audio company, in partnership with Logitech G.
The company claims on its website that Immerse is designed to let PC gamers "hear game audio while listening to sounds in the real world" and make sounds appear to be closer or further away from you.
Immerse uses artificial intelligence to create a personalized sound profile for each user. When you sign up for the app, Immerse requires you to scan a QR code and take a picture of your right ear using your smartphone. Immerse's AI uses algorithms to analyze every part of your ear to predict how sound is received by your ear.
"The challenge of spatially aware sound using headphones has persisted for decades. The folds and shape of the outer ear are unique to each individual and change the way we hear sounds around us. Hence the need for a spatial audio solution. personalized," said Kapil Jain, CEO of Embody. "With Immerse, sound is created for you, not the masses. We're excited to work with Logitech G to bring this innovative technology to headset users around the world."
Unfortunately Immerse isn't free, but it's not that expensive either, a subscription starting at $3 a month gives you access to all the features. In addition, there is a free trial period that lasts for two weeks.
Those who have already tested Immerse, say that after performing the initial settings that customize the experience in a unique way for each player, with the "Close Combat" mode activated in the software, it allowed to hear more accurately where the enemies were.
