O Motorola one zoom is the first smartphone from Motorola to have four rear cameras and also debuts an unprecedented design. The smartphone joined the main sensor of the One Vision, the ultrawide lens of the OneAction, a telephoto lens to capture images with an incredible zoom and a depth sensor, and the result of this combination makes the OneZoom be the definitive smartphone of the line.

But does it exceed the expectations and quality of its predecessors? You can check it out now in this full review.

    Design and canvas

O Motorola one zoom is so different from its predecessors that it looks more like a different version of the Moto X5. Its housing is made of glass and aluminum and shows enough robustness for daily use. On the back, the Motorola made what might be one of the most beautiful rears of all their gadgets. The satin glass coating with the gradient blue color is very beautiful and stylish, in addition to not leaving fingerprints like other smartphones.

The cameras are housed in a relatively large rectangular bulge on the rear. Unlike the rest, it is not coated with satin glass and can easily scratch because it is in direct contact with the surface. The logo of Motorola is stamped below the cameras and has a white LED that lights up when receiving a notification or when using the smartphone. Of course, it can be turned off if you want more discretion.

REVIEW: Motorola One Zoom comes equipped with all the best of the One line
Rear design resembles the Moto X5

Until then OLED de 6,4 inches with resolution of 2340 1080 pixels x and proportion 19:9 present in Motorola one zoom makes all the difference when playing multimedia content. The images have a black with more definition and more balanced colors due to technology OLED. The front camera is now present in a teardrop notch in the center of the device, making the design look very similar to the line. P30 da Huawei.

For the first time on a smartphone from Motorola, the biometric sensor is located under the screen. It's not the same sensor ultrasonic present in Galaxy S10, but it works fine. Sometimes during our tests, the sensor did not recognize the sweaty or wet finger, which caused some inconvenience to unlock the device.

Full HD OLED screen stands out among the One line LCDs

The smartphone has few buttons in its construction, being only the volume and power buttons on the right side. At the top is the mono sound output and the hybrid slot for chip and micro SD, at the bottom is the 3,5mm jack for headphones and the USB-C input for charging and data transfer.

    Processing

O Motorola one zoom comes equipped with a processor Snapdragon 675 Octa-Core de 2,0 GHz, combined with a Adreno GPU 612, 4 GB from memory RAM e 128 GB expandable internal storage via micro SD from to 1TB.

Unlike the rest of the One line, the OneZoom proves to be a smartphone with high processing power for the most diverse activities. You can forget for a few moments that we are using a premium intermediate smartphone for the quality in which the programs are executed.

REVIEW: Motorola One Zoom comes equipped with all the best of the One line
Android is almost pure, but does not have the One version

For games, the OneZoom it's perfect. Free Fire, Fortnite, Asphalt 8 Legends e Mortal Kombat X were executed in a very fluid way, without choking and crashes. Multitasking works very well, apps open quickly and barely restart.

    Cameras

Undoubtedly, the cameras Motorola one zoom are the great highlight of the smartphone. There are four in total that promise to bring the best photos among the intermediaries. However, the Motorola fails to achieve this goal, showing that quantity is not always linked to quality.

The main camera 48 MP has the same sensor as One Vision, with image stabilization and aperture of f / 1.7. The results obtained here are as good as in its smaller brother, the captured images are well defined, have more natural colors and less saturated. However, the dynamic range it is not as competent as in more expensive smartphones, but it is very good for its price range.

O night mode surprised me a lot here, the photos were well balanced and with very vivid colors. It is worth using to abuse the function for photos in social networks.

REVIEW: Motorola One Zoom comes equipped with all the best of the One line

The second camera is a ultrawidand 16 MP with opening f / 2.2 which has a dubious quality, as I noticed an incidence of noise even in brighter environments. In places with less lighting, everything gets worse. The noise is intense and the images are washed out, which is quite annoying.

Among the auxiliary sensors, the third camera has the best results, being a telephoto de 8 MP, opening of f / 2.4 and optical zoom up to 3x. The zoom setting could be much better, as it suffers from the same problems as ultrawide.

The fourth sensor is a TOF 3D de 5 MP for depth effects. The blurred background is very competent and manages to contour the user with perfection, without those usual flaws in the contour of the face and hair in effects via software.

The selfie camera is 25 MP and makes very good results, with good colors and definition. Unlike the blur effect done on the rear camera, here it is very flawed, the effects do not identify the contour of the face very well.

In video recording, the Motorola one zoom gets good results. At the rear, the video stabilization is competent and the image capture repeats the quality of the photo mode. The main camera can record videos in 2K à 30 FPS e 1080P à 60 FPS com HDR. On the front, there is a super weird limitation, because there's no way to shoot in 4K, which his younger brother Motorola one action I already did, even though it was much cheaper.

    System

O Motorola one zoom comes equipped with the system Android 9.0 Pie almost pure, typical of smartphones from Motorola. All extra system resources focus on the app Motorcycle to adjust gestures to open camera, activate the flashlight, tap with three fingers to take a screenshot, standby notifications and gesture navigation that replaces the lower buttons with a bar that takes up less space.

REVIEW: Motorola One Zoom comes equipped with all the best of the One line

A Motorola broke tradition and OneZoom is the first smartphone to come without the Android One. This change does not affect the interface in general, but I was pleased to be able to make my home screen more personalized than in Android One, where it was not possible to remove certain widgets.

In terms of updates, it doesn't change much for the end user, since 1 update is guaranteed for the Android 10 and quarterly security fixes until 2021.

    sound and drums

O Motorola one zoom has a quality sound, even with just a mono output on the bottom of the device. The sound has weight and good definition, perfect for listening to music without headphones.

The smartphone is also equipped with the Dolby Atmos, technology that polishes the sound to bring more definition and brightness.

REVIEW: Motorola One Zoom comes equipped with all the best of the One line
    4.000mAh battery with fast charging

O hardware do Motorola one zoom is very energy efficient, the battery 4.000 mAh easily lasts all day with 4G on, social networking, streaming, gaming and website browsing. THE OneZoom Supports fast charging of 15W, with charger included in the box, and in our tests it reached 100% in approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Conclusion

O Motorola one zoom is, without a doubt, the best smartphone launched by Motorola in this year. Its processing is fast, fluid and without stuttering, even with several apps open at the same time. However, if the user is looking for a smartphone that is dedicated to a camera, the Zoom, for the price of R$ 2.499,00 not the best recommendation.

REVIEW: Motorola One Zoom comes equipped with all the best of the One line

The main camera is the same as the one on the One Vision it costs almost R$ 1.000 less and auxiliary cameras are not worth it when it comes to weighing the investment in OneZoom.

For the user who already has a device on the line One, the upgrade is not very substantial. But for those who own an older smartphone and are looking for performance with current camera technologies, it's a super investment for years to come.
