Voice messages have gained popularity through WhatsApp, as much as some people still don't have this habit, many can't do without it anymore. Now, the latest platform to receive the feature has been Instagram.
The social network made the news available recently and it is slowly coming to all users. When the tool is available, an icon similar to a microphone will appear, located to the left of the message sending option. Messages can be sent through direct messages, that is, in Direct, which facilitates communication between users.
To use the new feature is quite simple and similar to what we are used to doing in other messengers. So, just tap the microphone icon and the message will start recording. Up to a minute long, they are permanently available, supporting group chats on iOS and Android.
The feature debuts months after video calls are entered. Now, Direct ends up becoming a direct competitor for Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp and also Facebook Messenger.
With the arrival of the feature, Instagram Direct takes on a bigger role as a messenger, which can attract even more users to the platform.
It is worth mentioning that Instagram also belongs to Facebook, which has been adding several features on its platforms, including Stories.
The new Instagram functionality is available for both Android and iOS systems.
